Symbioz é o novo SUV da Renault e vai chegar ao mercado em setembro
The Renault presented the new Symbioz E-Tech full hybrid, a compact SUV for the C segment that fits between the Captur and the Austral. With only 4.41 m in length, the new Symbioz completes Renault’s E-Tech range, which already includes the Arkana (4.57 m) and the Austral (4.51 m). Aesthetically, the new SUV from the French brand is equipped with details that resemble the Captur, especially at the front section, where the grille and the LED technology light signature are very similar. However, the Symbioz presents a certain coupe-like air, largely due to a roofline that slopes towards the rear.

Renault states that this new model is aimed at families looking for space and contemporary design, as well as company fleets looking for electrification without compromising total cost of ownership.

For this purpose, it features a 625-liter trunk, benefiting from a rear seat that can be moved longitudinally by about 16 cm. Under normal conditions, the trunk has a capacity of 492 liters. In addition, the Symbioz also offers an additional 24.7 liters of storage space in the cabin, including 7 liters in the glove compartment.

To the generous space offered by the new Renault model, a vast array of equipment is added, already seen in Rafale and Scenic, such as the new generation of Solarbay glass panoramic roofs, based on PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) technology, which become opaque automatically, avoiding the need for a curtain, as well as two USB-C sockets in the front and two more for rear seat passengers, and in the case of versions with a higher level and finish, a smartphone charger by induction is also available as standard. The new Symbioz will be available in three versions: Techno, Iconic, and Esprit Alpine and is based on the CMF-B platform, the same one used by Clio, Captur, and Arkana, and will come to the market with an E-Tech hybrid powertrain, the same one used by Arkana, combining a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with four cylinders with two electric motors (a 36 kW e-motor and an 18 kW high-voltage starter generator) and a 1.2 kWh battery, providing a combined power of 145 hp. The power is managed by the Renault Group’s multi-mode gearbox, without a clutch and with four gears for the combustion engine and two for the electric traction motor, resulting in up to 14 different modes to optimize fuel efficiency.

Despite not having revealed the prices of the new Symbioz for the national market, Renault has already announced that orders will open in the summer and the first units will arrive in September.
