NEW Falha mecânica revelada por Newey para sua saída iminente da Red Bull F1.

The renowned Formula 1 designer, Adrian Newey, has revealed that his decision to leave Red Bull in 2025 stems from his desire to seek new opportunities and face new challenges. On Wednesday, Red Bull announced that Newey has expressed his intention to depart from the team, with which he has won an impressive 13 championships since joining in 2006. During the remaining races of the current season, Newey will take part in selected events before officially leaving the Austrian team in the first quarter of the following year. Over nearly two decades with Red Bull, Newey has established himself as the most celebrated designer in the sport, accumulating a remarkable total of 25 titles throughout his illustrious career. However, amid ongoing rumors linking him to Aston Martin and Ferrari, Newey has made it clear that he wishes to explore new opportunities elsewhere.

In a statement released by Red Bull, Newey expressed his lifelong ambition to become a high-speed vehicle designer. “Since I was a child, my dream has always been to design Formula 1 cars, and I consider myself fortunate to have turned that dream into reality,” he said. For nearly two decades, it has been an immense honor to play a key role in transforming Red Bull Racing from a fledgling team into a multiple championship-winning powerhouse. However, I believe that now is the perfect time to pass the baton to others and embark on new challenges of my own. In the meantime, I will focus my attention on the final stages of the development of the RB17 for the remainder of my time with the team.”

Speculations about Newey’s departure previously linked him to a tense relationship with Christian Horner, team principal of Red Bull Racing, amid an internal investigation into Horner’s conduct. Despite being cleared of any allegations of misconduct, Horner’s continued presence apparently led to a power struggle within the team. However, Horner praised Newey as a “true legend” for his key role in Red Bull’s past and ongoing dominance, which has seen the team triumph in all but two races since the previous season.
