Damon Hill identifica a McLaren como o destino ideal para Adrian Newey em meio a especulações sobre sua saída.

Adrian Newey, a long-time member of the Red Bull team, is highly sought after as the 2025 Formula 1 season approaches. Recent rumors about his possible departure have reignited chaos within the team. Newey, a British designer, has been instrumental to the success of the Austrian team, and losing him to rival teams could have detrimental consequences for Red Bull. Amidst these rumors, former Formula 1 driver Damon Hill believes that reuniting with Newey would be the ideal choice for the talented designer.

Adrian Newey is known for his exceptional Formula 1 designs, which have led to numerous championships. Given his impressive track record, any team would eagerly seize the opportunity to hire the 65-year-old Brit and entrust him with leading their racing efforts.

Amidst the speculation, Damon Hill is convinced that McLaren presents the ideal long-term project for Newey. Having previously driven cars designed by Newey, Hill is well aware of the extraordinary talent of the British designer. Furthermore, it is widely known that Newey often gets involved in long-term projects. As McLaren continues to rise in the sport, it could be a perfect match for Newey to contribute to their resurgence and return to the top of Formula 1.

Newey is widely considered the greatest racing car designer in Formula 1 history. Losing a valuable asset like him could be a disaster for Red Bull, which currently dominates the sport. Recognizing his immense value, many teams with surplus funds would eagerly seek out Newey, willing to invest heavily to secure his services. Ferrari, for example, could potentially acquire Newey by buying out his existing contract if he expresses interest in joining the Maranello-based team. This would represent a significant blow to Red Bull, as they would lose not only his experience but also his expertise all at once.

Despite circulating rumors, Red Bull has rejected such speculations and remains firm in their belief that Newey will stay with the team. However, as the transfer market is known for its volatility, anything is possible during this “silly season”.
