Mônaco Formula E vê a Jaguar garantir uma dobradinha com coreografia impressionante.

The Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League witnessed an impressive display of teamwork from Jaguar, securing a 1-2 victory in the Formula E race in Monaco. Mitch Evans claimed the win, with his teammate Nick Cassidy close behind. Starting from the second row, the duo quickly moved to the front, strategically using their attack modes. Once in control of the race, Evans and Cassidy took turns holding off the pack to ensure they could use their attack modes without compromising their positions. This tactic proved successful as chaos ensued behind them, resulting in two safety car periods. Despite the challenges, Evans held his ground and secured Jaguar’s first victory in Monaco in Formula E, with Cassidy finishing just 0.9 seconds behind.

In a gesture of solidarity, Cassidy acknowledged Evans’ contribution to the team’s success, naming him the “teammate of the year” over the team radio. This statement reflected Cassidy’s acceptance of his role as the second driver in the 1-2 formation. The DS Penske team faced their own challenges as Vandoorne struggled to keep Vergne and Wehrlein at bay, securing the final spot on the podium. Meanwhile, Oliver Rowland put on an impressive performance, climbing from 15th to sixth place for Nissan. Antonio Felix da Costa also showed resilience, recovering from a setback to finish seventh for Porsche.

The reigning champion Jake Dennis faced a tough race, finding himself in 20th place after a collision with Robin Frijns that forced him to stop and change the front wing. McLaren reserve driver Taylor Barnard had an unexpected opportunity to make his Formula E debut after Sam Bird’s injury. Despite starting from the back of the grid, Barnard showed his skills and finished in a respectable 14th place. Bird will receive additional treatment upon returning to the UK, with the next Formula E event in Berlin just two weeks away.
