Marquez garante pole position inaugural da Ducati MotoGP na qualificação de Jerez

Marc Marquez conquered his first pole position with Gresini Ducati in the rain-soaked qualifying session for the Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez. He clocked an impressive time of 1.46.773s, surpassing Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin on their VR46 and Pramac Ducati bikes, respectively. The challenging conditions allowed Marquez and Bezzecchi to showcase their skills, while Martin finished just behind them. Brad Binder also had a notable session, overcoming a tough practice and qualifying in fourth place. Fabio Di Giannantonio and Alex Marquez completed the second row for Ducati.

Franco Morbidelli made a strong comeback in Q2, placing himself between Francesco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini on the third row. Pedro Acosta showed great potential, gaining half a second on his lap time before crashing in the final corner, which dropped him to 10th place. Maverick Vinales and Aleix Espargaro from Factory Aprilia struggled in the mixed conditions and finished in 11th and 12th places, respectively. Johann Zarco impressed in Q1, securing the 13th spot on the grid. Miguel Oliveira finished just behind for Trackhouse Aprilia.

Jack Miller, who has been facing difficulties this season, qualified disappointingly in 15th place. Dani Pedrosa, a guest rider and three-time MotoGP runner-up, had a similar performance to his teammate. Raul Fernandez will start in 17th, while his teammate Augusto Fernandez continues to struggle and settled for 18th place. Honda’s Stefan Bradl finished in 19th, ahead of the 2020 champion, Joan Mir, in 20th. Aprilia’s test and development rider Lorenzo Savadori secured 21st place, followed by Luca Marini in 22nd. Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins had a tough session, finishing in 23rd and last place, respectively. Luca Marini and Takaaki Nakagami completed the grid in 22nd and 24th places.
