Fórmula E apresenta novo GEN3 Evo como o monoposto de aceleração mais rápida.

FIA Formula E presents its latest GEN3 Evo vehicle ahead of the upcoming Monaco E-Prix. This specially designed car will be used in the all-electric series for the next two seasons. The unveiling took place in Monte Carlo, where FE and FIA showcased the numerous advancements of the car. Not only does it boast impressive statistics, but it also aligns with FE’s commitment to sustainability, solidifying its status as the most eco-friendly major sport out there.

The GEN3 Evo car is set to break records as the fastest Formula E vehicle ever created, with a top speed of 200mph. Its design allows it to stand out on any racetrack, hinting at the possibility of specially designed circuits in the future. When asked about this potential development, CEO Jeff Dodds explained that previous Formula E seasons were limited in terms of track compatibility. However, recent additions like Tokyo, Shanghai, and Misano have expanded the series’ reach. Dodds emphasized the importance of maintaining Formula E’s identity by racing in prominent cities and utilizing street circuits. However, he acknowledged the value of incorporating diverse racing types that offer more overtaking opportunities and strategic elements.

Dodds also expressed his excitement about the introduction of four-wheel drive and increased grip in certain races. These improvements will have a significant impact on qualifications and the overall racing experience. For example, tracks with less grip, like Diriyah, will feel different to drive on with the improved tire grip and four-wheel drive capabilities. This opens up new possibilities for Formula E and adds an extra layer of excitement to the sport.

The president of the FIA, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, praised the collaborative efforts of the FIA and Formula E teams in developing the GEN3 Evo racing car. He emphasized the shared commitment to advancing sustainable motorsport and delivering competitive races. This new vehicle represents a significant leap in electric racing technology, showcasing the ongoing progress made in this area.
