VÍDEO: Kevin Magnussen colide em Yuki Tsunoda causando a saída do piloto japonês do Grande Prêmio da China.

The 2024 Chinese Grand Prix was filled with incidents throughout the field. Kevin Magnussen and Yuki Tsunoda were involved in a fierce battle, resulting in Tsunoda’s race coming to an abrupt end after Magnussen made a daring move that caused a collision between the two drivers.

Another driver who seemed to be in a promising position to score points was unable to do so due to a terminal issue with the engine of his Sauber. This unfortunate event led to the safety car coming out on lap 24, causing chaos in the pit stops and a major shakeup in the race hierarchy.

As a result of the chaos in the pit stops, Kevin Magnussen found himself in close proximity to Yuki Tsunoda. However, Magnussen misjudged the braking point and made Tsunoda spin, causing even more chaos on the track.

Even before the race restarted, more chaos ensued when another driver collided with the rear of someone else’s car. Additionally, as mentioned earlier, Magnussen made a bold move on Tsunoda at the corner, resulting in terminal damage to Tsunoda’s car. These incidents ultimately led both drivers to retire from the race.

Both the Danish and Canadian drivers involved in these incidents have a history of accumulating penalties for their on-track behavior. Unfortunately for them, the 2024 Chinese GP added more penalties to their list.

Kevin Magnussen and Lance Stroll both received 10-second penalties for their collisions with Tsunoda and Ricciardo, respectively. After the penalty, Stroll expressed his frustration over the radio.

Furthermore, another driver was penalized for an infraction during the safety car period, resulting in a 10-second penalty. This further increases the risk of race suspension for the American driver, as penalty points accumulate on his superlicense. After the Chinese GP, F1 action will move to Miami for the 2024 Miami Grand Prix next month.
