Ferrari dominou em casa e parte da pole position nas 6 Horas de Imola

Ferrari left no chances for their opponents in the qualifying for the 6 Hours of Imola, the second round of the World Endurance Championship (WEC). The Italian manufacturer placed their three cars in the top three positions on the grid in this home round.

The Ferrari AF Corse #50 secured the pole position, with Antonio Fuoco as the qualifying driver. The Italian completed his best lap in 1m29.466s in the Hyperpole, beating Robert Shwartzman (AF Corse/Ferrari #83) by a clear 0.419s.

Not content with monopolizing the front row, the third spot went to the other official Ferrari – the #51, with Alessandro Pier Guidi trailing by 0.487s. The Porsche Penske cars followed, with the #6 in fourth and the #5 closing out the top five ahead of the Toyota #7.

The BMW M Team WRT made it to the Hyperpole with the #20, starting from seventh. The other manufacturers had less to smile about. The best Lamborghini, the #63, will start from 16th, behind the two Peugeots and ahead of the two Alpines, while the Isotta Fraschini will start from 19th. The Cadillac #2 will be 12th on the grid.

As for the LMGT3, Aliaksandr Malykhin gave the pole position to the Manthey PureRxcing Porsche #92, surpassing Ian James (Heart of Racing Team/Aston Martin #27) by 0.693s. The two BMWs from Team WRT followed – the #46, where Valentino Rossi is third, although the qualifying was done by Ahmad Al Harthy; and the #31 in fourth. The Iron Dames, with a Lamborghini, will start from fifth in the category, thanks to a lap set by Sarah Bovy.
