Ferrari Revvs Up for High-Stakes Mugello Test with SF-25: What You Need to Know!

In a thrilling comeback mere days after the Japanese Grand Prix, Ferrari is set to storm back onto the track! The Scuderia, taking advantage of the unexpected downtime caused by the cancellations of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix, has orchestrated two pivotal testing sessions featuring the SF-25. Starting tomorrow, Ferrari’s elite test team will roll into Mugello for an intense two-day Testing of Previous Cars (TPC) session.

Hold onto your hats, because this isn't just any ordinary test! While fans might be hoping to see their favorite race drivers, the real stars of this event will be the test drivers—Antonio Giovinazzi, Arthur Leclerc, and Antonio Fuoco. These talented individuals, who have been honing their skills in the simulator, will now have the opportunity to push the SF-25 to its limits in what promises to be a crucial training exercise.

The backdrop of Mugello, Ferrari’s home circuit, adds an electrifying layer to this event. With the 2026 regulations looming large, the SF-25 stands as a testament to Ferrari's engineering prowess, showcasing how far the team has come. The FIA has made a game-changing decision by permitting last year’s cars for TPC programs, a significant shift from the previous requirement of fielding machines at least two years old. This means that the Scuderia is gearing up to utilize the SF-25, a strategic move that could yield invaluable insights into performance ahead of the upcoming seasons.

But wait, there’s more! Following the Mugello test, Ferrari will head to the legendary Monza circuit for another critical assessment on April 21. This is not just a mere joyride; it's a calculated opportunity for the SF-26 to shine. Within the 200 km limit set by regulations, this testing day at Monza will evaluate how the car handles one of the most demanding tracks known for its energy recovery challenges.

Expect fireworks as race drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton take the wheel during this session, which serves dual purposes: commercial filming and a thorough examination of energy recovery advancements as well as aerodynamic enhancements. Among the innovations to keep an eye on is the much-talked-about “Macarena” wing, integral to the aerodynamic package set to debut in Miami when the championship resumes on May 3. This could be the game-changer Ferrari fans have been anticipating!

Additionally, don't forget about the Pirelli wet-weather tire test scheduled for February 9 and 10 at Fiorano, which had previously seen delays. As Ferrari charges ahead with relentless determination, the stakes have never been higher, and the excitement is palpable.

Get ready, motorsport enthusiasts! This week at Mugello could be the dawn of a new era for Ferrari, and the world will be watching closely!
