Ryan Blaney confessa que se vingou de Ryan Preece no Texas.

Ryan Blaney began the season with the aspiration of defending his first championship, but unfortunately, he has not been able to secure a win so far.

The competition in Texas will be remembered by fans for many years. On one hand, a driver ended his winless streak, while on the other hand, the race was filled with incidents throughout the field. One particular incident involved two drivers, Ryan Preece and Ryan Blaney, which had significant consequences for the latter. The reigning champion believes his opponent deliberately collided him into the wall after a disagreement on the track.

The incident occurred on lap 182, when Ryan Preece seemed to have forced Ryan Blaney off the track during the race. However, this is just one version of the story. Blaney, a Penske driver, revealed that a lap before, he was following behind Preece and tried to make a move on the inside line. Unfortunately, he inadvertently pushed the SHR driver too close to the wall.

Ryan Blaney admitted to making contact with Ryan Preece on the previous lap, so he understood why Preece retaliated by colliding with him. Blaney stated: “I was at fault, but I’m not sure if I deserved to be taken out for my actions. It’s just one of those things that happen in racing.”

The maneuver on lap 181 had significant consequences for the driver of the No.12 Ford Mustang on the next lap. Blaney stated that Preece wanted revenge, resulting in Preece crossing his path and throwing him into the wall. As a result, Blaney had to make a pit stop for necessary repairs and ended up finishing the race in 33rd place, eight laps behind the leader.

Before the showdown with Preece, the No.12 driver was setting the track on fire, both figuratively and literally. Despite acknowledging that some form of repercussion was deserved, the reigning champion believed being slammed into the wall by his opponent was a bit excessive.

The 30-year-old driver recognized that Preece was justified in retaliating against his questionable maneuvers. However, he felt that Preece’s revenge went a little too far and would prefer a similar maneuver in return.

Despite the incident, Blaney hopes that both drivers can move forward. Additionally, they are both looking forward to the next race at Talladega and hope to avoid collisions with each other once again.
