Japan is gearing up for a thrilling showdown as the Formula 1 circus rolls into Suzuka for the highly anticipated Japanese Grand Prix, the third race of the 2026 F1 season! With Mercedes dominating the early stages of the championship, fans are in for a spectacular weekend filled with high-octane action and fierce rivalries.

Race Weekend Breakdown: What to Expect!

As the dust settles on the first two races, where George Russell and Kimi Antonelli each claimed a stunning victory, Mercedes emerges as the clear frontrunner, leaving a resurgent Ferrari and last year's champions McLaren scrambling to catch up. The stakes are high, and with no sprint race on the agenda this weekend, all eyes will be fixed on the three practice sessions, the pivotal qualifying, and, of course, the main event on Sunday!

How to Catch the Action Live!

For race enthusiasts in the UK, you can witness every heart-pounding moment by tuning into F1 APP —just ensure you have a subscription in place! Meanwhile, fans across the US have a golden opportunity to stream the race for FREE through an Apple TV trial, a first for the platform as they host the season’s coverage. If you’ve yet to sign up, now's your chance to dive into the adrenaline-fueled world of F1 without spending a dime. But beware! If you’ve already used your trial, you’ll need to subscribe to catch the high-speed drama unfolding at Suzuka.

Key Times to Mark in Your Calendar!

The action kicks off on Friday, March 27, with the first practice session at 2:30 AM UK time, followed by a more viewer-friendly second practice from 6 AM to 7 AM. The third practice is set to commence early on March 28 at 2:30 AM. The crucial qualifying session will take place on Saturday, March 28, starting at 6 AM, leading up to the race itself on Sunday, March 29, also at 6 AM UK time.

For our American audience, the first practice revs up on March 26 at 19:30 PDT, with subsequent sessions spread across the weekend, culminating in the race on Sunday at 22:00 PDT.

Don’t Miss Out!

This is not just another race; it’s a clash of titans! With Mercedes looking to extend their lead and rivals on their tail, every second counts. Be prepared for nail-biting moments, strategic battles, and potentially shocking outcomes. The Japanese Grand Prix promises to be a highlight of the season—so make sure you’re ready to tune in and experience the thrill as it happens!
