Kyle Busch’s main sponsor terminates multi-race deal with RCR due to “political atmosphere”

Patrocinador principal de Kyle Busch encerra acordo multi-corridas com RCR devido a “atmosfera política”

RCR is known for its ability to attract a variety of sponsors, showcasing its uniqueness. One of the main concerns within the NASCAR community was whether RCR, after signing with them, would be able to secure significant sponsorship deals for Kyle Busch. The doubt arose due to Busch’s departure from JGR due to the loss of a primary sponsor. However, RCR proved everyone wrong by securing a variety of lucrative partnership agreements.

Unfortunately, the team now faces a challenging situation as one of its main sponsors for several races, 3CHI, has decided to reduce its involvement to just one event. 3CHI, a producer of hemp-derived cannabis products, has been associated with the No. 8 Chevy team, now represented by Kyle Busch, for over three years and has achieved great success together, winning three races during that period.

The decision to reduce their sponsorship was motivated by the “political environment” surrounding their cannabis products, which cater to both recreational and medicinal purposes. In a statement on their website, 3CHI announced that they will only sponsor the championship race at Phoenix Raceway.

Furthermore, 3CHI expressed uncertainty about the future of their involvement in the premier motor racing series. The current political landscape poses a threat to their existence, leaving them unsure if they will be able to return for the 2025 season.

At the beginning of the 2024 season, the contract extension between RCR and 3CHI was highly promising as both parties aimed for a long-term partnership. However, with this recent development, Richard Childress and his team must now seek a suitable replacement that aligns with the team’s values.
