Resulting brand from the joint venture established between the Stellantis Group and Leapmotor, Leapmotor International will begin production of the B10 at the Spanish factory in Zaragoza in October. According to the Chinese brand, the manufacturing of its new model aimed at the C-SUV segment “will represent a quarter of the total sales volume of the B10”, considering that “the production location is the right direction for the global expansion of Chinese brands. We have been actively planning [the situation] in the European market, not just in Spain, not just in one factory. But we are also considering production locations on other continents”.
With a length of 4.52 m, the B10 is seen by Leapmotor as a crucial step for its expansion in Europe, as it will utilize the Stellantis Group’s production network to address customs issues and improve its image in the European market. The announcement was made by Leapmotor itself during the investor conference held last Monday, with advanced and “upcoming” discussions still ongoing with Stellantis for other future projects.
Other models from Leapmotor may also be produced in Europe for the local market, thus reducing future exposure to trade disputes between different markets, as well as transportation costs. This information complements that provided by Antonio Filosa, CEO of Stellantis, who had recently announced the production of the B10 in Spain, hinting that operations in Zaragoza would begin “in the second half of 2026”.
