DENNIS: Pacote de Misano ‘permitiu’ que Andretti se saísse bem.

Jake Dennis acknowledged that the intense group racing in Misano last weekend benefited his Andretti team, following two disappointing results in qualifying.

The current FIA Formula E World Champion stated: “We are not meeting our performance targets as planned.”

“The race result was a tremendous effort from both the team and myself to achieve a result.”

“If the race hadn’t been so focused on energy saving, we would have finished in P15 or P10. Fortunately, the racing style allowed me to progress. Additionally, our powertrain is one of the most efficient on the grid, which helped my advancement. However, we are facing several challenges.”

Looking ahead to the next race in Monaco, Dennis mentioned that the twisty street circuit in the principality will bring back a sense of normality to Formula E. He also expressed an open mind regarding the fact that the races in Misano deviated from the usual style seen this season.

“So far, there have only been two races like that. All races this year, except Brazil to some extent, have been predominantly fast-paced – Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Tokyo. Whoever was in the lead after the start would likely win.”

“I believe Monaco last year struck a perfect balance. I started in ninth place and finished second, so there is definitely room for progress. However, the extreme nature of what we witnessed today was not present.”
