Imola luta para manter duas corridas italianas no calendário da F1.

Esteban Ocon, driver of the Alpine F1 team, took part in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Circuit in Imola, Italy, on April 24, 2022. The Mayor of Imola, Marco Panieri, expressed his dedication to maintaining two Formula 1 races in Italy, alongside the iconic Monza circuit. Imola returned to the F1 calendar in 2020 and has been a constant presence, except for a brief pause last season due to floods. Italy is currently the only European country hosting two F1 Grand Prix events, with Imola’s contract running until the end of 2025. Panieri is actively working to secure an extension to ensure Imola’s continued presence in the future. The venue is undergoing improvements to meet the standards set by F1 CEO Stefano Domenicalli, who emphasized the importance of classic circuits keeping up with modern demands. Imola’s preparations include investments in infrastructure, track improvements, hospitality, and the versatility of available spaces. The Mayor expressed gratitude to the various partners and institutions involved in supporting Imola’s role in promoting Italian excellence and attracting global attention. Angelo Sticchi, President of the Automobile Club of Italy, also praised the inclusion of two Italian circuits in the 2025 F1 calendar and recognized the efforts made by Italian institutions to improve the quality of their venues. ACI is proud to organize two world-class Grand Prix events and sees this recognition as a testament to their ongoing commitment to providing fans with a first-class Formula 1 experience in modern and comfortable facilities.
