Chase Elliott reflete sobre seus comentários fortes sobre o Texas Motor Speedway após recente vitória.

Chase Elliott put an end to a 42-race winless streak at Texas Motor Speedway. Prior to last Sunday’s race, the 2020 Cup champion had been critical of races at the track since it was reconfigured a few years ago. However, after emerging as the winner at TMS, the driver of the No.9 Chevrolet retracted his criticisms and stated that the track had improved.

Chase Elliott was furious about the changes made at TMS in 2017 and was against the track being included on the NASCAR calendar. Even his teammate was in favor of demolishing the track. However, that changed on Sunday, when the former Cup champion broke his winless streak at the track he had envied throughout his career.

“I’m not saying it was great, but I’m saying it was better than before, at least from my point of view,” said race winner Chase Elliott when asked if his opinion on Texas Motor Speedway had changed. Elliott believed the race was better than previous ones. He also mentioned that tire wear allowed drivers to race each other without significant penalties. However, his praise for the track was only due to the low tire wear, not the track configuration, and he continued to maintain his position against it.

Chase Elliott was known for his consistency after winning the Cup championship in 2020. However, his momentum was interrupted when he suffered a leg injury and faced a suspension, extending his winless streak in the series. It took time for the Hendrick Motorsports driver to regain his form, but he finally put an end to his winless streak at TMS.

After winning the race, Chase Elliott’s fans and team members were thrilled with the result. In particular, Elliott’s team boss expressed pride in his driver for ending the long wait. The team boss was impressed with Elliott’s performance and highlighted his determination. This victory gave the No.9 team a momentum boost, making them favorites for a win at Talladega.
