Joshua Durksen Dominates the 2026 Australian Grand Prix F2 Sprint Race!

In a thrilling kick-off to the Formula 2 season at the iconic Melbourne Grand Prix, Joshua Durksen has emerged victorious in the opening sprint race, showcasing his prowess on the track and leaving competitors in his dust. The Invicta driver, who started from the front row, displayed remarkable skill as he maneuvered past Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak early in the race, establishing a commanding lead that he maintained until crossing the finish line.

Chasing him down, Noel Leon secured a commendable second place, while Alex Dunne clinched third, capitalizing on a five-second penalty inflicted on his teammate, Martinius Stenshorne. In an unexpected twist, despite initially finishing in third, Stenshorne found himself demoted to 10th place post-race, leaving him out of the points entirely—a crushing blow for the team.

The battle for the top spots was fiercely contested, but it was clear that Durksen was the driver to beat. Inthraphuvasak, who had started the race from the coveted reverse grid pole position, ended up finishing fifth, just behind Ritomo Miyata, who rounded out the top five with a solid performance.

As the dust settled on the Melbourne circuit, the anticipation builds for the next round of the championship, especially for debutant Colton Herta, who concluded his first race in Formula 2 in 16th place. The rookie will undoubtedly be looking to improve in the upcoming races as he adapts to the fierce competition of Formula 2.

With the stage set and emotions running high, the full race results are eagerly anticipated by fans and teams alike. The 2026 F2 season is officially underway, and the excitement is palpable as drivers prepare for the next showdown on the track!
