Toto Wolff busca piloto forte para ajudar a Mercedes a sair da atual queda de desempenho.

The Mercedes Formula 1 team is currently ranked fourth in the Constructors’ Championship for the year 2024. Team principal, Toto Wolff, acknowledges the challenging situation the team is facing and is actively seeking a talented driver to join the team. With the departure of their legendary driver, the team has been linked to several potential candidates, such as , , , and . However, the recent contract extension of the two-time world champion with Aston Martin has ruled him out as an option. Wolff has shown interest in giving the 2025 seat to a young driver, with Mercedes academy driver Kimi Antonelli being a strong contender. Nevertheless, there are also rumors that the current world champion may join the team. Russell, who has excelled since joining Mercedes, could serve as a mentor to Antonelli if he is chosen for the seat. Antonelli, who is only 17 years old, is currently competing in the 2024 F2 season. Wolff is particularly eager to see Antonelli in an F1 car, especially after witnessing the impressive debut of 18-year-old driver Oliver Bearman for Ferrari in Saudi Arabia. The coming months will bring more clarity on who will drive for the Mercedes team in the 2025 Formula 1 season.
