Nio, the Chinese brand pioneering the development and implementation of electric battery swap technology, set a new daily service record on February 15, with a total of 146,649 swaps performed. This achievement, recorded in Nio’s service station network in China, coincided with the first day of Chinese New Year celebrations, a time when many residents in major cities travel to their hometowns to reunite with family, significantly increasing road traffic.
It is also important to note that on February 6, Nio reached the milestone of 100 million battery swap services in its station network, just 2,819 days after it began operations. In 2025, there was even a battery swap every 3 minutes!
To date, Nio has 3,750 battery swap centers, with 1,022 operational in the national highway network. The brand also operates a total of 4,926 charging points in the domestic market, equivalent to 28,223 charging stations. In the expansion plan for 2026, the construction of an additional 1,000 swap centers is planned.
