Ferrari triumphs in earnings while struggling on track: shocking twist for McLaren’s glory

Ferrari Dominates F1 Earnings While McLaren Celebrates Hollow Victory: A Shocking Financial Disparity!

In a stunning revelation that has sent shockwaves through the Formula 1 community, the latest report from Liberty Media has unveiled a financial landscape where Ferrari reigns supreme, despite its recent struggles on the racetrack. While the iconic Italian team may not be clinching championships, it is undeniably winning the financial battle, leaving competitors like McLaren in the dust.

According to Liberty Media’s financial report for 2025, global F1 revenues have soared to an astounding $3.87 billion, with a staggering 45% of these earnings funneled to the teams as prize money. The distribution of these funds is intricately tied to teams' performances, with hefty bonuses awarded to those finishing in the top three over the past decade. But for Ferrari, the financial windfall is bolstered by an exclusive historical bonus—5% of the total prize pool—thanks to their long-standing participation in Formula 1 since its inception in 1950.

While the exact figures distributed to each team remain closely guarded secrets, estimates from industry insiders, including PlanetF1, have shed light on the staggering sums at play. Ferrari emerges as the undisputed financial heavyweight, raking in an impressive $277.7 million. More than half of this eye-popping amount stems from their historical bonus and consistent placements in the constructors’ standings over the last ten years.

On the flip side of this financial drama, McLaren, despite triumphantly winning the 2025 world championship, finds itself languishing in fourth place in the earnings hierarchy. The British team is set to receive $147.1 million, a mere 14% of the total prize pool, largely thanks to its recent success. Adding to their woes, McLaren has only managed to secure an additional $18.7 million from their performances over the last decade—a stark contrast to Ferrari’s financial bonanza.

As the dust settles on this latest financial revelation, one thing is clear: Ferrari may not be dominating the racetrack, but its ability to capitalize on its legacy and consistent past performances ensures it remains a titan in the world of Formula 1 earnings. Meanwhile, McLaren's championship glory feels more like a fleeting moment overshadowed by the financial might of their Italian rivals. The game may be on the track, but the real battle is being fought in the balance sheets—where Ferrari is currently the unrivaled champion.
