The history of Ferrari's V6 engines will be commemorated in a new collection of commemorative coins to be launched in Italy, available from April 9, through the official channels of Zecca dello Stato, the Italian Mint. The coins feature engravings of models powered by hybrid engines with 6 cylinders, namely the 499P, the 296 Speciale, and the F80, with the announcement of the initiative taking place at an event held in Rome.
In the new collection, the highlight is the gold coin, with a limited edition of 499 units, and a nominal value of €100, which depicts the Ferrari 499P from the Hypercar category that achieved three consecutive victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans – 2023, 2024, 2025 – the most important and media-covered race on the calendar of the World Endurance Championship (WEC). Additionally, a trio of silver coins will be released, each with a nominal value of €6, available in a limited edition of 5000 units, which aims to tell the story of the transfer of technology from racing cars to road models, always with V6 hybrid engines as the source of inspiration (the 499P, the 296 Speciale, and the F80).
