The recently updated MG4 is now available in Portugal, starting at €32,367. Abroad, the changes made to the 100% electric model from the brand born in England, and since 2007 owned by the Chinese group SAIC, have not been very deep, going little beyond the newly designed 18’’ wheels and the redesigned rear spoiler, manufactured as a single piece – elements that positively impact aerodynamics, thus efficiency, thus range.
Inside, the updates are more substantial, starting with the highlight of the 7” digital instrument panel and the central 12.8’’ screen, which controls an infotainment system that now features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a more intuitive operation. At the same time, there are now more physical controls on the central console, such as for the electric parking brake, and it is also worth mentioning the induction charger for mobile devices, with 15 W of power.
According to the manufacturer born in Birmingham in 1924, the MG4 has also received improvements in terms of suspension and steering. In its new range, different combinations of electric powertrains (190 hp, 245 hp, and 435 hp) and batteries (LFP with 64 kWh and NMC with 77 kWh capacity) are now available. The brand announces ranges between 405 km and 545 km, and fast charging has also been improved, reducing the operational time from 10%-80% to about 25 minutes.
