Oliver Rowland was the winner of the Formula E Misano ePrix, but did not cross the finish line first. António Félix da Costa was the strongest on track, but was disqualified after the race for a technical infringement.

Impressive start from Sébastien Buemi (Envision Racing/Jaguar), who only needed one lap to go from eighth to the top. In fact, several drivers took turns in the lead throughout the race, with various incidents costing drivers like Pascal Wehrlein (TAG Heuer Porsche) and Nick Cassidy (Jaguar).

Sam Bird (NEOM McLaren/Nissan) tried to replicate the winning strategy in São Paulo by being the first to activate the Attack Mode both times. The British driver was leading halfway through the race and increased his pace. However, he suffered a puncture that compromised his race.

In the last six laps, Félix da Costa (TAG Heuer Porsche) managed to take the lead, battling with Rowland (Nissan e.dams) who had overtaken him. However, the Portuguese driver managed to respond and crossed the finish line as the winner 0.410s ahead of his opponent.

Jake Dennis (Andretti/Porsche) fought for third place with Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Techeetah), coming out on top. The Frenchman initially finished ahead, but was penalized by five seconds and dropped to eighth. Maximilian Günther (Maserati MSG Racing) and Dan Ticktum (ERT) completed the top five.

All of this was before Félix da Costa was disqualified “in the office.” In the scrutiny after the race, a spring from the accelerator damper was found to be non-compliant with the specifications and, after hearing from the team manager, the decision was to disqualify the Portuguese. The part in question was listed as part of the Gen2 cars, but not the current Gen2.

Therefore, Rowland was the winner, with Dennis and Günther completing the podium ahead of Ticktum. Mitch Evans (Jaguar) was promoted to fifth and Vergne saw the effects of the penalty slightly mitigated as he still finished seventh.
