Fernando Alonso revela planos de colaboração de longo prazo com a Aston Martin após aposentadoria.

Fernando Alonso, who has been competing in Formula 1 since 2001, has decided to continue his racing career with Aston Martin. Despite previous rumors linking him to Mercedes, the Spanish driver chose to commit to the Silverstone-based team. Alonso’s contract with Aston Martin will extend until the end of the 2026 season, by which time he will be 45 years old. However, he has expressed his desire to remain connected to the team even after his retirement.

Alonso’s decision to stay in Formula 1 challenges the idea that drivers in their 40s are past their prime. In recent discussions about his post-retirement plans, Alonso revealed potential opportunities with Aston Martin, the team he will be driving for. He will also reunite with Honda in 2026, as they will become partners of Aston Martin after previously working together with McLaren in 2016 and 2017. Despite his many years in the sport, the 43-year-old driver intends to remain involved in Formula 1 in some capacity, supporting Aston Martin in their quest for success.

After spending over two decades at the peak of motorsport racing, Fernando Alonso remains committed to the demanding schedule of Formula 1. He stated that he will continue to give his best performance until the end of his current contract. In the 2023 season, Alonso achieved an impressive fourth place in the drivers’ championship, showcasing his ongoing competitiveness.

For the Spanish driver, racing has become an integral part of his life after dedicating himself to the sport for so long. Alonso believes that his passion for racing still burns within him and is determined to continue seeking success on the track. Throughout his extensive career in Formula 1, he has already won two world championships.

Overall, Fernando Alonso’s decision to stay with Aston Martin demonstrates his long-term commitment to Formula 1 and his determination to make a lasting impact on the sport.
