Fernando Alonso promete continuar correndo além da Fórmula 1 enquanto Aston Martin estende contrato.

Fernando Alonso has competed in various racing categories outside of Formula 1, including a successful stint in the World Endurance Championship with Toyota. He holds the record for most race starts in F1, with over 360 races in his career. At 42 years old, Alonso is currently the oldest driver on the grid, but he remains determined to achieve more success in the world of racing. In a recent revelation, the Spanish driver announced his intention to continue racing even after retiring from Formula 1 in the future.

Alonso recently signed a two-year extension with Aston Martin, ensuring his presence in F1 until at least 2026, when he will be 44 years old. Additionally, he has expressed his desire to continue racing outside of Formula 1, potentially returning to the iconic Dakar Rally. The two-time world champion finds it difficult to imagine a life without racing and firmly believes that retirement is not an option for him in the near future.

Alonso’s hunger for success in Formula 1 remains strong for the upcoming seasons. He aims to turn Aston Martin into a championship-winning team. However, Alonso has also shown interest in Aston Martin’s Hypercar campaign for the future, when he decides to bid farewell to the pinnacle of motorsport. Although he cannot predict when he will retire, he is committed to giving his best in the next two years to propel Aston Martin in Formula 1.

Alonso is pleased with his decision to continue racing with Silverstone in the upcoming seasons. As time is running out for him to achieve success in Formula 1 once again, he hopes that the British team will provide him with a competitive car under the new regulations in 2026. Whether the Spanish driver will return to the top of the podium or not, only time will tell.
