Focus ST Edition é o modelo mais completo de sempre da Ford

Ford has scheduled to end the Focus in 2025, but before putting an end to the production of the model, it presented the new Focus ST Edition, which the brand says is the most complete ever.

Available in selected European markets, the Focus ST Edition combines adjustable suspension, Brembo front brakes, a 280 hp EcoBoost engine, and a six-speed manual gearbox, which allow offering fans of the well-known model a more dynamic performance.

Developed by Ford Performance, the renewed Focus ST is similar to its predecessor and features a body in Azura Blue RS style, complemented by High Gloss Black details. In addition, it maintains the 19’’ multi-spoke wheels, which now come with a reduction of unsprung mass by 10%. The wheels are built using a flow forming process, which compresses the aluminum alloy to retain tensile strength and increase impact resistance, using less material. The reduced mass of the wheels means they can change direction more quickly to adapt to the road or track profile.

The new Focus ST will be available exclusively in the five-door hatchback configuration, equipped with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine with a turbocharger, which allows for a maximum power output of 280 hp at 5,500 rpm and 420 Nm of torque from 3000 rpm. These numbers allow the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 270 km/h.

To ensure a more sporty performance, the Focus ST Edition received an adjustable coilover suspension system, enhanced by Ford Performance, allowing owners to adjust the driving dynamics according to their personal preferences.

The adjustable two-way coilover suspension system features stainless steel twin-tube shock housings and powder-coated springs. The front and rear can be lowered by 10mm compared to the conventional Focus ST for better balance and control. An additional 20mm adjustment is available for the customer.

Inside, the Ford Performance seats stand out, in addition, the steering wheel, gear shifter, lower panels of the center console, and floor mats are coated in Motion Blue.

The Focus ST Edition also features a 675 W B&O Premium sound system with ten speakers and a subwoofer, while the winter pack is standard and includes a heated steering wheel and a Quickclear heated windshield for quick defrosting in icy conditions.
