Charles Leclerc quashes Ferrari fears: ‘no big problems’ after viral shakedown drama

Ferrari’s Shakedown Sparks Online Frenzy: Charles Leclerc Assures Fans of No Major Issues!

In a thrilling start to the 2026 Formula 1 season, Ferrari’s shakedown of the highly anticipated SF-26 car has sent ripples through the motorsport community. Charles Leclerc, the team’s star driver, has stepped forward to quell rising concerns, stating emphatically that the team encountered “no big problems” during the testing phase.

The excitement erupted following a dramatic demonstration run at Ferrari’s Fiorano test track on Friday, where footage of both Leclerc and teammate Lewis Hamilton pausing on the track sent fans into a frenzy. Speculation ignited across social media platforms, with many convinced that the legendary Scuderia had fallen victim to reliability issues. However, insiders have revealed that the stop was a strategic part of Ferrari’s test plan, designed to maximize the limited running distance allowed during such events.

With the SF-26 now unveiled, Hamilton kicked off the shakedown before handing over the reins to Leclerc. As they paused near the Ferrari garage, a group of mechanics swiftly pushed the vehicles back, a calculated move to optimize their mileage under the stringent 15-kilometer limit for demonstration runs.

In a post-shakedown interview, Leclerc expressed his exhilaration about the day, acknowledging the hard work that led to this moment. “I’m definitely looking forward to this day every year,” he stated. “The main target is to check that everything is working properly and that there are no big problems, which was the case today, so that is a positive.”

Despite the positive news, Leclerc tempered expectations regarding performance. He noted that the testing conditions were less than ideal, with fog and a damp track complicating matters. “It’s not the best conditions to test a car for the first time,” he admitted, but the electric atmosphere at Fiorano, filled with passionate Tifosi, only amplified the day’s significance.

As Ferrari gears up for the first pre-season test in Barcelona starting Monday, the anticipation continues to build. Teams will have five days of testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, but Ferrari and McLaren have already confirmed their absence on the opening day. Aston Martin is also expected to miss Monday’s action, while Williams has opted out of the entire Barcelona test to focus on upcoming sessions in Bahrain next month.

With the stakes higher than ever and the buzz surrounding the SF-26, fans are eager to see if Ferrari can leverage this promising start into a successful campaign. Will the Scuderia rise to the challenge in 2026? Only time will tell, but for now, Leclerc’s reassuring words have provided a much-needed boost to the team’s fervent supporters. Stay tuned for more updates as the thrilling world of Formula 1 unfolds!
