Ford integra Inteligência Artificial nos seus modelos a partir de 2027

Ford has announced its plans to introduce Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in all its models starting in 2027, promising significant changes in how owners interact with their vehicles. Revealed during this year’s CES in Las Vegas, the world’s leading event dedicated to consumer electronics, this innovation promises to alter the paradigm of the man-machine relationship in the sector, especially since the system, according to the manufacturer from Dearborn, has a deep understanding of the vehicles’ capabilities.

For now, the Ford AI Assistant technology will be launched only for use in the mobile app of the Ford and Lincoln brands, expanding the interaction format between drivers and vehicles. According to Mike Aragon, head of the team working on this project, the artificial intelligence assistant presents itself as a “smart guiding thread” between the user’s digital life and their vehicle.

Unlike current systems that operate generically, the AI that Ford is developing has a deep understanding of the technical specifications of each model. A practical example presented by the American brand illustrates the utility of this solution in the field: the owner of the F-150 pickup can photograph a stack of firewood in a warehouse and ask the application if that load fits in the vehicle’s cargo bed. In a few seconds, the AI analyzes the volume of the load and cross-references the data with the exact dimensions and fastening configuration of that vehicle, providing an accurate answer even before the driver touches the load.

Ford has opted for a pragmatic launch strategy, prioritizing at this stage the introduction of the assistant in the FordPass and Lincoln Way applications, which are already used by around eight million customers of the two brands in the group. This approach allows owners of current models to enjoy the technology without needing to purchase a new vehicle. Starting in 2027, the AI will be present in all Ford and Lincoln vehicles and will provide experiences far more complete than simple smartphone mirroring.
