F1 PRESIDENT DEMANDS ACTION FROM FERRARI AS HIGH STAKES LOOM FOR 2026 SEASON

In a bold call to arms, Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali is urging the iconic Scuderia Ferrari to step up its game as the 2026 season approaches. After a dismal showing in 2025, where the legendary team failed to secure even a single grand prix victory and finished a staggering 435 points behind constructors’ champions McLaren, the pressure is on for Ferrari to reclaim its former glory. Just a year prior, Ferrari was tantalizingly close to clinching the title, falling short by a mere 14 points.

Despite the team’s struggles, star driver Charles Leclerc managed to capture seven podium finishes, while the addition of Lewis Hamilton from Mercedes turned into a nightmare for the racing icon. For the first time in his illustrious 19-year career, Hamilton did not finish in the top three, raising eyebrows and questions about Ferrari’s competitive edge.

In a strategic move, Ferrari made a decisive decision to halt aerodynamic development on the SF-25 as early as April. This shift in focus aims to prepare for the most significant regulatory overhaul in F1 history, and Domenicali remains optimistic about the team’s potential to hit the ground running. “I’m a positive guy,” he stated in a recent interview. “There’s no need to cry, there’s no need to be negative. They need to have a plan.”

The urgency for a robust strategy is palpable. Domenicali expressed confidence in team principal Fred Vasseur, along with Leclerc and Hamilton, stating, “I’m sure they have a plan, and that’s what is important.” He emphasized the need for Ferrari to rise above mediocrity, saying, “It’s normal to be fourth in the championship, but we want a strong Ferrari. They deserve to be in a stronger position.”

As the 2026 season looms, the F1 landscape is buzzing with speculation about Ferrari’s future. “Everyone is talking, but no one knows where we are,” Domenicali warned, hinting at the uncertainty that surrounds the team’s direction. Observers are keenly aware of the past year’s events and are on high alert for any signs of resurgence from the Scuderia.

With the eyes of the motorsport world watching closely, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Will Ferrari rise from the ashes and reclaim its place at the pinnacle of Formula 1, or will it falter once more? The answer may lie in the plans that are currently being formulated behind closed doors. As Domenicali aptly put it, “Stay tuned, because every race will bring an evolution.” The 2026 season promises to be a thrilling battleground, and Ferrari’s comeback story could be one for the ages.
