Alex Bowman culpa Chase Briscoe por resultado decepcionante na noite histórica da HMS em Martinsville.

Alex Bowman was the only driver to finish outside the top-5 at Martinsville. Hendrick Motorsports arrived at Martinsville with special ruby red paint schemes to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their first race win. Bowman made the day even more memorable by clinching the victory in overtime, while his teammates Briscoe and Byron impressed by securing the remaining podium positions.

However, the team’s fourth driver, Alex Bowman, managed to salvage an eighth-place finish despite having a car as fast as his teammates. What is even more disappointing for him is the fact that he started the race in tenth position, while his teammate William Byron, who ended up winning the race, was in eighteenth place at the start. This highlights how execution errors cost Bowman a solid result.

After the race, during his press interview, Bowman emphasized the significant role played by the No.14 Ford from Stewart Haas Racing in his result. On the final restart during overtime, the No.14 Ford did not give him any room and raced aggressively in all four turns, ultimately costing him the opportunity to move up and secure at least a top-5 finish.

Before discussing the verdict on Chase Briscoe, Bowman detailed the challenges he faced throughout the day. He mentioned that the team encountered significant difficulties in the last two races and noted that the No.48 car was very tight for most of the day in Virginia.

The No.48 car has already celebrated victory in over 50 races and, with their recent consistency, they hope to end their winless streak soon. Given the dominant form of his teammates Byron and Larson, Bowman cannot afford to go winless for long, as questions about his future at HMS will inevitably arise.
