Bianca Bustamante teams up with Alex Palou: a thrilling rise in Eurocup-3 racing!

Title: Rising Star Bianca Bustamante Partners with IndyCar Champion Alex Palou for 2026 Eurocup-3 Season!

In an electrifying turn of events in the motorsport world, Bianca Bustamante, the trailblazing former McLaren junior driver, has officially signed with Palou Motorsport, the brainchild of IndyCar sensation Alex Palou. This exciting partnership is poised to shake up the grid ahead of the highly anticipated 2026 Eurocup-3 season!

Bustamante, who made history as McLaren’s first female junior driver in 2023, has been on a rollercoaster ride in her racing career. After a tumultuous split from McLaren—which included a dramatic legal battle that saw the Woking-based team seek a staggering $19.5 million in damages—she is now ready to turn the page and accelerate her ambitions with Palou Motorsport.

The 20-year-old driver spent the past season in the GB3 series, where she finished 22nd in the standings, a full 449 points behind champion Alex Ninovic. Yet, this setback has not deterred her spirit. Bustamante is gearing up for a major leap, announcing on social media, “Two years later, I find myself back in red – just a step higher and a couple kph faster hehe.” Her enthusiasm is palpable as she shares her excitement about joining a team that promises to elevate her racing career to new heights.

With technical support from the renowned Prema Racing, Bustamante expresses her gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside the experienced crew again, stating, “Such an honour to be part of an incredible squad led by Ramon Palou & Alex Palou.” Her determination to learn and grow in this competitive sport shines through, as she acknowledges the challenges of moving up the ranks. “It’s such a blessing to be able to compete again, year after year. Everyone knows how incredibly difficult it is to survive in this sport, and even more so to move up,” she elaborated, emphasizing the support from her team and sponsors who have stood by her side throughout her journey.

Palou Motorsport, launched by the four-time IndyCar champion and his father, Ramon, in 2023, has quickly become a formidable player in the racing arena. Alex Palou himself has experienced his share of upheaval, having previously served as McLaren’s reserve driver before a contentious fallout that led to legal disputes. Palou controversially backed out of a deal with McLaren’s IndyCar team, leading to accusations of breach of contract. This legal saga stirred considerable drama, with claims that McLaren’s CEO Zak Brown had limited influence over the team’s decisions, a statement Brown vehemently dismissed as “clearly ludicrous.”

As Bustamante embarks on this thrilling new chapter with Palou Motorsport, the motorsport community is buzzing with anticipation. Will she rise to the challenge and carve out a new legacy in the Eurocup-3 series? One thing is certain: her journey is just beginning, and fans can’t wait to see how far she will go!

Stay tuned, as this dynamic duo of Bustamante and Palou is set to electrify the racing world in 2026 and beyond! The stage is set for an unforgettable season, and the excitement is palpable!
