Lexus LBX RR Morizo pode estar a caminho da linha de produção

In January, Lexus took advantage of the Tokyo Motor Show to present the LBX RR Morizo Concept, the sportiest vision of the company’s smallest and most recent SUV.

A very special version with the stamp of Akio Toyota, the president of Toyota and Master Driver, also known as Morizo, which means it underwent a sporty treatment.

Now, according to “Drive,” quoting John Pappas, CEO of Lexus Australia, a production version of the high-performance model is “highly likely” to reach the assembly line in a specific limited edition.

There are good reasons to believe that developing a production version of the high-performance vehicle will be relatively simple for Lexus, as the prototype presented at the Tokyo Motor Show was very close to a production model.

The sportier variant of the LBX is expected to feature a 1.6-liter turbocharged three-cylinder gasoline engine found in the GR Yaris, but in the variant used in the GR Corolla, with power “stretched” to 305 hp (at 6500 rpm) and delivering 370 Nm of torque, which are transmitted to all four wheels through the “E-Four” all-wheel drive system and an “Direct Shift” eight-speed automatic transmission.

Furthermore, the prototype was equipped with a darkened grille with yellow details, complemented by yellow brake calipers and 19’’ wheels.
