Isack Hadjar reveals shocking downside of fame as Red Bull F1 driver: can he handle pressure?

Isack Hadjar, the rising star of Formula 1, is ready to take the spotlight as he prepares for his debut season with the prestigious Red Bull Racing team. But with great power comes great responsibility, and the 21-year-old French driver has already identified a significant downside to his new role—one he describes as “annoying.”

Fresh off a remarkable first season with Red Bull’s junior team, Racing Bulls, Hadjar has been turning heads. He clinched a spot in the top 10 of the Drivers’ Championship, boasting one podium finish and an impressive ten points finishes. His stellar performance marked him as the standout rookie of the season, prompting whispers of a well-deserved promotion within the Red Bull ranks. As fate would have it, just before the season finale in Abu Dhabi, it was confirmed that Hadjar would replace Yuki Tsunoda, partnering with the formidable Max Verstappen.

However, the transition to Red Bull Racing doesn’t come without its challenges. The fame and attention that accompany such a high-profile team are overwhelming, and Hadjar candidly admitted to feeling the pressure. “No,” he responded bluntly when asked if he was comfortable with the added scrutiny. “It’s just annoying, if anything.” His humorous take on the situation included a mock plan to evade the limelight: “I’ll have a plan to disappear! Wear a mask, I don’t know.”

Despite his reluctance to embrace fame, Hadjar has shown a lighter side while engaging with teammate Liam Lawson on the Racing Bulls’ social media platforms. The duo has provided comic relief through their playful interactions, often mimicking popular memes and tackling humorous questions, proving that even in the competitive world of F1, laughter has its place.

Yet, as Hadjar bids farewell to the familial atmosphere of Racing Bulls, he is acutely aware that the stakes are much higher in the Red Bull environment. “It’s going to be a lot more serious next year,” he noted with determination. “VCARB is a family team. At the same time, I’m not here to have a laugh. I have friends to have fun with when I come home. And when I’m on track, I’m here to work. I don’t mind it.”

As he steps into his role with Red Bull Racing, Isack Hadjar is ready to face the intense expectations that come with being part of one of the most successful teams in Formula 1 history. Will he rise to the occasion, or will the pressure prove too much? Only time will tell, but one thing is for certain—this rookie is not backing down from the challenge.
