VÍDEO: Daniel Ricciardo e Alex Albon batem nas barreiras na Curva 2 do Grande Prêmio do Japão.

Daniel Ricciardo and Alex Albon were involved in a major accident during the first lap of the Japanese Grand Prix, resulting in a red flag being waved. Both drivers were unable to continue the race after colliding with each other at turn 2 and hitting the barriers. The incident caused significant damage to Albon’s car, which was already a replacement chassis after a previous accident. Unfortunately, this means that both drivers missed the opportunity to score points in the race.

The accident was considered a racing incident and was a disappointing outcome for Ricciardo and Albon. Ricciardo, in particular, continues to struggle this season and has yet to score any points. The safety of both drivers was a concern for their fellow competitors, with Ferrari drivers Leclerc and questioning their well-being. It was reassuring to see the drivers show their human side and express concern for their colleagues. Fortunately, Ricciardo and Albon escaped the accident without any injuries.

The barriers on the circuit needed repairs before the race could continue, causing a delay. As a result, the starting grid for the resumed race was slightly different from the original. After the necessary repairs were completed by the track marshals, the Japanese Grand Prix resumed with a standing start.
