Berry has a history of occasional accidents with drivers who were not born in the United States, with the most recent incident occurring at COTA involving a Japanese driver.
In response to a warning about Berry, SVG acknowledged that he has not yet had the opportunity to compete directly against the Ford driver. However, he stated that he will keep the possibility in mind, as he still has about 10 Cup races scheduled for the 2024 season.
