Isack Hadjar hints at explosive Red Bull F1 switch: could 2026 be his breakthrough year?

Rising Star Isack Hadjar Teases Major Red Bull Move for 2026!

In a thrilling twist that has sent shockwaves through the Formula 1 community, Isack Hadjar has dropped tantalizing hints about his future with Red Bull Racing, sparking rampant speculation about a potential switch in 2026. The young French sensation has been a standout performer in his debut season, racking up impressive point finishes and even clinching a podium at Zandvoort, currently placing him ninth in the fiercely competitive Drivers’ Championship standings.

Hadjar’s maturity behind the wheel and blistering speed have positioned him as a front-runner to partner with Max Verstappen at Red Bull, particularly as his current teammate Yuki Tsunoda struggles to keep pace with the reigning champion. The buzz surrounding Hadjar’s potential promotion has been palpable, yet Red Bull’s announcement timeline has shifted, leaving fans and analysts on the edge of their seats.

Initially, it was anticipated that a decision would be made during the Mexico City Grand Prix weekend, but Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has hinted it might now come at the tail end of the season. Speaking to the media ahead of the Qatar Grand Prix, Hadjar revealed that he believes the decision will be made “one round before the end of the season,” intensifying the pressure on his performances.

When pressed about whether his results in the upcoming races could influence Red Bull’s final decision, Hadjar was emphatic: “Absolutely not. You don’t decide based on whether it’s 22 or 23 races – you take the average. That’s how you take a decision. So, I can have the worst weekend in history. Now, it’s not going to change anything.” Such confidence showcases Hadjar’s understanding of the long game in Formula 1.

But why is 2026 shaping up to be the perfect moment for Hadjar to make a leap into Red Bull’s main team? The rookie driver has hinted at a desire for more experience, potentially looking to spend another year with the junior team, but the impending introduction of new technical regulations next year has changed the game. “It’s good, perfect, because I keep changing cars every year,” he explained. “In my life, I never repeated a season with the same car – it never happened to me.”

With a fresh start on the horizon for all drivers due to the new regulations, Hadjar sees this as an opportune moment to transition from the satellite squad to the main team, leveling the playing field. “I don’t know what it’s like to have two seasons. Even when I did two years of F2, there was a change in the regulations. It was a brand new car. Same in F4. So, I don’t know what it’s like,” he candidly admitted.

As the countdown to the end of the season continues, all eyes will be on Isack Hadjar and his next moves. Will he secure a coveted seat at Red Bull and fulfill his dream of racing alongside Verstappen, or will the team take a different direction? One thing is for sure: the excitement surrounding Hadjar’s future is only just beginning!
