Rede Mobi.E alcança em agosto novo recorde de carregamentos

The public charging network, Mobi.E, recorded a new record of electric charging in March, with 447,000 charges, representing a 68% increase compared to the same month in 2023.

In terms of energy consumption, it exceeded 9 million kWh, a 90% increase compared to the same period last year.

Thus, in the first three months of 2024, around 114,000 distinct users charged their vehicles on the Mobi.E network, representing a growth of about 70% compared to the same period. On average, each user made 11 charges on the public network in the first quarter.

Regarding the impact of the Mobi.E network on the environment, nearly 20,000 tons of CO2 were saved from January to March. It would take over 321,000 10-year-old trees in an urban environment to capture the same amount of carbon dioxide.

In a statement, Mobi.E clarifies that “the continuous growth of the network is one of the main factors contributing to these numbers, as it has kept pace with the increase in the electric vehicle fleet. In March, the Mobi.E network included around 4630 charging points, equivalent to about 8200 publicly accessible charging points.”

Another relevant fact is the power of the network, currently exceeding 254,667 kW, 8% above the target set in the European regulation “Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Regulation” (AFIR). By the end of March, 1695 charging points were fast or ultra-fast, representing 36% of the total network.
