Title: Carlos Sainz Slams ‘Unacceptable’ Penalty on Oscar Piastri: A Call for Justice in Formula 1!

In a dramatic turn of events following the São Paulo Grand Prix, Carlos Sainz has unleashed his fury over the controversial 10-second time penalty handed to Oscar Piastri. The incident, which occurred nearly two weeks ago, has sparked outrage within the motorsport community, with Sainz labeling the punishment as “unacceptable” for a sport that prides itself on fairness and competition.

The heat of the moment ignited during an early race clash between Piastri and Kimi Antonelli at the notorious Turn 1 of Interlagos. As the two drivers battled fiercely for position, contact was made, sending Antonelli crashing into Charles Leclerc and ultimately eliminating the Ferrari star from the race. While Piastri served his penalty during a pit stop, he crossed the finish line in fifth place, losing precious ground to his rival Lando Norris in the championship standings.

Sainz did not hold back in his condemnation of the stewards’ decision, arguing that the ruling is not just a blow to Piastri, but a disservice to the sport itself. “We urgently need a catch-up and try to solve it,” Sainz declared passionately to the media, including RacingNews365. “The fact that Oscar got a penalty there in Brazil is unacceptable, honestly, for the category that we are in and being the pinnacle of motorsport. Everyone who has seen racing knows that it is not Oscar’s fault at all. And everyone who’s really racing knows he could have done nothing to avoid an accident there and he got a 10-second penalty.”

But the discontent doesn’t stop with Piastri’s situation. Sainz expressed his frustration with the broader context of penalties in the sport this season, pointing to his own experiences as evidence of a flawed system. “For me, it’s something that I don’t understand,” he lamented. “I didn’t understand my Zandvoort penalty. I didn’t understand why Olli [Bearman] got a penalty when we both collided in Monza. He was not deserving of that penalty and I told him straight after the race. I didn’t understand how I got a ten-second in Austin. There have not been one, but multiple incidents this year that, for me, are far from where the sport should be.”

As the motorsport world gears up for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Sainz’s vehement call for change resonates louder than ever. With tensions high and stakes even higher, the question remains: Will the stewards listen? Will the integrity of racing be restored, or will the penalties continue to tarnish the sport? This scandal demands answers, and fans across the globe are watching closely as the saga unfolds.
