F1 Academy Revolutionizes Women’s Racing: Cadillac Joins F1 Teams in Groundbreaking Partnership!

F1 Academy Secures Extended Partnership with F1 Teams: Cadillac Joins the Race!

In a groundbreaking development that is set to reshape the landscape of motorsport, the all-female racing series F1 Academy has officially announced an extended partnership with Formula 1, ensuring support through 2026 and beyond. This game-changing agreement is a significant leap forward for aspiring female racers, providing them with a vital platform to showcase their talent in the competitive world of Formula 4 racing.

Since its inception in 2023, F1 Academy has been a beacon of hope for young female driving talent, allowing them to hone their skills before making the leap to higher echelons of motorsport. The recent success of champion Abbi Pulling, who is making waves by advancing to the GB3 championship in 2025, exemplifies the potential of this initiative. However, the series’ inaugural season remained largely under the radar, with only the season finale at the prestigious United States Grand Prix broadcasted to the public.

Fast forward to the present, F1 Academy has experienced remarkable growth, now showcased alongside Formula 1 at select races on the calendar. Crucially, the partnership with all ten F1 teams has been reaffirmed, with each team backing one of the ten cars in the championship, marking a monumental step in fostering female talent in the sport.

But that’s not all! The excitement intensifies as Cadillac, the latest entrant into the F1 realm, gears up to join the F1 Academy grid as a sponsor starting in 2027. This move signifies an expanding interest in supporting female drivers and enhancing the competitive environment of the series.

In a bold move to foster talent, F1 Academy has also updated its regulations, allowing drivers who have participated in the previous two seasons to potentially race for a third. This change aims to elevate those whose performances indicate they are poised for further growth, thus ensuring that the championship remains a hotbed of elite female talent.

F1 Academy’s global influence is undeniable, now reaching audiences in 170 territories worldwide and featuring its own Netflix docu-series, “F1: The Academy,” produced by the powerhouse production company, Hello Sunshine, founded by Reese Witherspoon.

Following the thrilling announcement, F1 Academy’s managing director Susie Wolff expressed her enthusiasm: “The commitment of long-term support from all ten current Formula 1 teams, and the addition of Cadillac to our grid from 2027, sends a powerful message about the future of F1 Academy. We’re not just providing a platform for the current generation of female drivers; together, we’re building a pathway to support generations of talent to come.”

Wolff further emphasized the emerging talent pool, stating: “We continue to be impressed by the depth of female talent coming out of the world of karting and are encouraged by the growth and strength of the emerging talent pool. A sharpened focus on individualized talent development will give standout drivers the support and platform needed to fully realize their potential, ensuring that the F1 Academy grid consistently features the very best female talent.”

As the anticipation builds for the 2026 season, all eyes are on F1 Academy. Will this initiative propel female racers to the forefront of motorsport? One thing is certain: the future is bright, and the race is just getting started!
