Denny Hamlin diz aos fãs da NASCAR para seguirem em frente de sua vitória controversa na corrida da Cup em Richmond.

Denny Hamlin expressed his thoughts on his restart and victory at Richmond through his podcast. The NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond Raceway was won by the Joe Gibbs Racing driver. However, there was controversy surrounding Hamlin’s win due to allegations of an early start during the restart in overtime. Despite this, NASCAR did not penalize Hamlin as they believed it was within the limits. This sparked a lot of debate among fans who believed the early start was obvious. In response to the discussions about his win, Hamlin took to his social media to credit his pit crew for the victory, rather than the restart incident. He even joked about hoping for a new paint scheme to divert attention from the controversy. Hamlin seemed tired of repeatedly discussing the same issue and urged people to move on.

During the race at Richmond, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver had a rare outburst of anger. He was in a position to potentially win the race before the restart in overtime, which resulted in his teammate, Denny Hamlin, taking the lead. This greatly frustrated the driver of the Toyota Camry No:19, leading him to make forced contact with the Hendrick Motorsport driver at the rear of Hamlin’s car after the race. However, Hamlin sympathized with his teammate, acknowledging that Truex Jr. had a strong race and had every right to be upset when circumstances beyond his control affected his performance. Team owner Joe Gibbs certainly had a lot to deal with during the post-race meeting with these two drivers.
