Lewis Hamilton’s Bold Leap: Ferrari Partnership Packs More Punch Than Expected!

In a jaw-dropping twist in the world of Formula 1, Lewis Hamilton has declared that his partnership with the legendary Ferrari brand has proven to be “even more powerful” than he ever anticipated. After a remarkable 12-year reign with Mercedes, during which he clinched six out of his seven drivers’ championships, the British racing icon made headlines by joining Ferrari at the start of 2025.

In an exclusive chat with Ferrari Magazine, Hamilton expressed his astonishment at how seamlessly their brands have aligned. “I knew that aligning our brands would be big,” he revealed, “but it still hits you and you’re like, ‘This is even more powerful than I imagined.’ It’s beautiful and there have been plenty of positives, although a lot of responsibility and weight comes with it.” The weight of expectations certainly looms large, as fans worldwide are eager to see immediate results. However, Hamilton reminded everyone that “Rome wasn’t built in a day.”

When prompted about the adjustment period required for a driver switching teams, Hamilton emphasized the learning curve inherent in F1. “And that’s not many people,” he noted. “Only when you’re inside a team can you really, truly understand how it works and how F1 works. You can’t imagine how the machine really operates otherwise.” This insight serves as a reminder of the complexities of the sport that might be overlooked by casual observers.

Having spent a significant amount of time in Formula 1, Hamilton acknowledged that his transition to Ferrari has brought new challenges. “I’ve been in F1 for so long, but when I came to this team, it really was different again. So I don’t blame people for not knowing.” His focus remains steadfast on what he can control: his preparation, collaboration with his team, and maintaining a positive outlook each day.

As of now, Hamilton finds himself in sixth place in the drivers’ standings with 146 points, trailing his teammate Charles Leclerc, who holds fifth place with 210 points. The seven-time champion recently celebrated a milestone, securing his first sprint race victory for Ferrari in China, with his top grand prix finish being a commendable fourth in Emilia Romagna, Austria, Britain, and the United States Grands Prix.

On the constructors’ front, Ferrari currently sits in second place with a whopping 356 points, just a whisker ahead of Mercedes, who are hot on their heels in third with 355 points. As Hamilton navigates this new chapter with Ferrari, the anticipation builds around whether he can reclaim his spot at the pinnacle of the sport.

With the stakes higher than ever, all eyes will be on Hamilton as he seeks to turn the tide for Ferrari and fulfill the lofty expectations that accompany such an illustrious partnership. The F1 world is watching—will Hamilton rise to the occasion and carve out a new legacy with Ferrari? The race is on!
