Hamilton’s Fiery Warning to Ferrari: Avoid ‘Silly’ Mistakes After Shocking Mexico Practice!

Lewis Hamilton Sounds Alarm: Ferrari Must Dodge ‘Silly Mistakes’ After Shocking Mexico GP Practice

In a stunning turn of events at the Mexico City Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton made a roaring comeback to the track after missing the first practice session (FP1), and his insights are sending shockwaves through the paddock. The seven-time world champion returned for FP2, clocking the fifth-fastest time, trailing the dominant Max Verstappen by a mere 0.300 seconds. But while Hamilton’s performance was solid, he couldn’t help but highlight the perilous situation Ferrari finds itself in as they navigate a treacherous circuit with notoriously low grip conditions.

Hamilton, who stepped aside for Antonio Fuoco during FP1, expressed his astonishment at how closely the Scuderia is competing despite the challenging conditions. “I am surprised how relatively close we are, given how not great it felt,” he admitted, revealing that the combination of high downforce and Mexico City’s altitude has left drivers sliding around in search of grip. The track’s grip was described as feeling worse than Monza, forcing Hamilton to grapple with a car that was “sliding around a lot,” and leaving him with a daunting task to refine the balance.

The Briton didn’t mince words when discussing the potential pitfalls that Ferrari could encounter. “There is a danger of making the car worse,” Hamilton warned. Yet, he expressed a cautious optimism, stating, “I don’t think you can make it worse, and I’d be really surprised if it is worse.” The stakes are high, and Hamilton is determined to avoid any “silly decisions” that could jeopardize their chances as they sift through data and strategize for the upcoming Free Practice 3.

Hamilton’s analysis was far from bleak; he emphasized that the race run balance wasn’t disastrous. However, he urged his team to extract more performance from the tyres, insisting, “I know there’s more pace in the car.” As the clock ticks down to the main event, all eyes will be on Hamilton and Ferrari as they navigate this high-stakes challenge in Mexico City. Will they rise to the occasion, or will they fall victim to the “silly mistakes” that could cost them dearly? The anticipation is palpable, and the race promises to be a thrilling spectacle as the drama unfolds!
