Zak Brown Slams ‘Amateur Hour’ After McLaren’s Devastating Double DNF in Austin Sprint Race!

McLaren’s Nightmare in Austin: Zak Brown Unleashes Fury Over ‘Amateur Hour’ Crash!

A catastrophic turn of events unfolded for McLaren at the sprint race in Austin, Texas, as chaos erupted on the very first lap! In a shocking incident, both of McLaren’s star drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, found themselves eliminated from contention, leaving fans and pundits alike reeling.

The drama kicked off when Piastri, starting strong in third position, made a critical error while yielding to his teammate Norris into the opening corner. In a disastrous twist, he collided with Nico Hulkenberg of Sauber, which then sent the Australian spiraling directly into Norris. This incident marks the second consecutive race where miscommunication has derailed McLaren’s hopes, following their earlier lap one crash in Singapore just two weeks prior.

In an explosive reaction, McLaren CEO Zak Brown did not hold back his criticism directed at Hulkenberg, declaring, “That was terrible. Neither of our drivers were to blame there. Some amateur hour driving out there by some drivers.” His frustration was palpable as he continued, “I want to see the replay again, but clearly Nico drove into Oscar and he had no business being where he was, he went into his left rear tyre.”

Despite the shocking circumstances, the stewards opted for leniency, taking no further action against the drivers involved. Brown, however, is not letting the incident cloud his optimism for the rest of the weekend. With Norris and Piastri set to return to their cars later for qualifying ahead of Sunday’s Grand Prix, he expressed confidence that the damage sustained is manageable. “It looks like it was just limited to suspension damage, so hopefully the damage is easy to fix,” he added.

As McLaren gears up for the next challenge, the burning question remains: Can they bounce back from this turmoil and reclaim their position? The clock is ticking, and the world is watching closely as the team prepares to face the aftermath of this disastrous start in Austin!
