Mercedes mira aproveitar chance em Suzuka após desastrosas duplas aposentadorias na Austrália.

Mercedes is currently ranked fourth in the 2024 Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship. The team has faced some challenges in the ongoing season, especially with their recent performance in Australia, where they had a double Did Not Finish (DNF) result. However, Mercedes is determined to bounce back and make a strong comeback at the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix.

During the race at Albert Park, Lewis Hamilton had to retire due to an engine issue, while his teammate George Russell had a major crash towards the end of the race. As a result, Mercedes did not score any points in that race. However, the team has been working hard at their factories since then, and their Technical Director provided a positive update on their progress.

The Suzuka International Racing Circuit is crucial for Mercedes as they need a strong performance. The W15 car has not lived up to expectations so far, and Japan offers an opportunity for the team to unlock all of its potential. With three rounds already completed in the 2024 season, Mercedes drivers are still adapting to the W15 car. In addition to seeking positive results in Suzuka, the team is also seeking certainty regarding their 2024 car.

The W15 car has proven to be unpredictable, especially for Lewis Hamilton. It is essential for Mercedes to have confidence in the concept they have implemented in their 2024 car. If the concept proves successful, it will boost the team’s morale for the rest of the season. Therefore, the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix holds significant importance for the Brackley-based team.
