Despite never taking acting classes, Hamilton turned down the role because he didn’t want to disappoint the production and felt he didn’t have enough time due to his busy racing schedule. Hamilton is a big fan of Tom Cruise and had already visited the set of the movie «Edge of Tomorrow,» starring Cruise. During his visit, he formed a close friendship with the actor, who would send motivational messages before races.
