Britânico alega que Sergio Perez não merece estar na Fórmula 1 devido às falhas constantes contra Max Verstappen.

Sergio Perez has been competing for the Red Bull Formula 1 team since 2021. The former winner of six Grand Prix races has faced numerous challenges since joining the Red Bull F1 team. Perez has struggled to keep up with the dominance of his teammate and often finds himself in the background.

Observing Sergio Perez’s difficulties in keeping up with Max Verstappen in 2024, a former winner of the German VLN series expressed the opinion that Perez does not deserve a place in Formula 1.

Perez has accumulated a total of 46 points in the current season. The 34-year-old driver has been associated with Red Bull since 2021. Despite spending four years with the team, Perez has yet to present a significant challenge to the reigning world champion.

While Bradley Philpot harshly criticized Sergio Perez regarding his position at Red Bull, team boss Christian Horner stated that there are no specific requirements for Perez to earn a contract extension. Horner believes Perez should at least deliver performances that are somewhat comparable to Verstappen’s.

Perez secured a fifth place at the Albert Park F1 circuit. The Mexican driver has a vast experience in the world of car racing. Although being a Red Bull driver has greatly benefited his statistics, Perez has not fully taken advantage of the opportunity to drive for a top team like Red Bull. To secure a contract extension with the Austrian team for 2025, Perez must aim to win several Grand Prix races this year.
