Fernando Alonso’s Fiery Loyalty Exposes Media Lies, Briatore Fumes Over ‘Rubbish’ Rumours

Flavio Briatore, the notorious figure in the Formula 1 world, has come out guns blazing to defend his protege, Fernando Alonso, against what he calls “rubbish rumors” circulating in the media. The executive advisor of Alpine, Briatore, has expressed his utmost dismay at the portrayal of Alonso as a difficult driver to manage, emphasizing the Spaniard’s unparalleled loyalty and teamwork skills.

In an exclusive interview with ESPN, Briatore passionately stated, “Sometimes people put out in the news that Fernando was difficult to manage. But this is a lot of rubbish, really. I am completely upset whenever I hear this. Fernando is always a teammate. He’s always making everyone work together.”

Alonso, the seasoned 44-year-old driver, has had an illustrious career spanning 22 seasons in Formula 1, clinching two World Championships and 32 race victories. Briatore, who managed Alonso during his title-winning stints at Renault, reminisces about the glory days and commends Alonso’s relentless drive and competitive spirit.

Despite a dry spell in recent years, with his last F1 victory dating back to 2013, Alonso remains a force to be reckoned with at Aston Martin, a team undergoing a major transformation under the ownership of Lawrence Stroll. Briatore likens Alonso to a “Rottweiler,” always pushing boundaries and striving for excellence, even in the face of adversity.

As the F1 landscape gears up for significant regulatory changes in 2026, Alonso’s partnership with Aston Martin and the team’s strategic developments, including a new factory and the recruitment of top talents like Adrian Newey, set the stage for a potential resurgence.

With Briatore’s unwavering support and belief in Alonso’s capabilities, the stage is set for a thrilling comeback story in the fast-paced world of Formula 1. Stay tuned as Alonso aims to defy the odds and reclaim his spot at the top of the podium, silencing his critics once and for all.
