The Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast reaffirmed its commitment to Europe by announcing that it will expand its presence in the European market.
“Instead of withdrawing, the company is positioning itself as a long-term partner for Europe’s green transition, bringing new competition, new ideas, and a commitment that goes far beyond the vehicles themselves”, said VinFast.
In a recent teleconference, Le Thi Thu Thuy, CEO of VinFast, stated that “customer feedback and word of mouth strengthen our brand’s reputation. We thank our dealer partners and customers for their trust during this transition period. As of June 30, we had 30 showrooms in North America and Europe, more than 80% of which were dealer showrooms.”
VinFast highlights the warranties of its previously exported electric vehicles: the compact SUV VF 6 offers a warranty of up to seven years or 161,000 km, and the battery is covered for eight years with no mileage limit. The mid-size SUV VF 8, on the other hand, offers a ten-year warranty for the battery or unlimited mileage warranty for private use, along with a similar ten-year warranty for the vehicle itself, covering 201,000 km.
It is worth noting that VinFast is one of the largest automobile manufacturers in Vietnam, founded in 2017 as a subsidiary of Vingroup, one of the largest conglomerates in that Asian country.
The company that manufactures SUVs, scooters, and electric buses, sold in Vietnam and North America, is now focused on entering the European market, and one of the first models intended for Europe may be the VF 3, a small 100% electric SUV, urban with a robust design resembling the popular Suzuki Jimny, measuring 3.14 meters in length, 1.6 meters in width, and 1.60 meters in height.
