The Fiat 600e, a 100% electric model, received a five-star rating in the latest round of tests from Green NCAP, the leading independent European program for environmental impact testing.
The model from the Italian manufacturer, available on the national market, achieved remarkable results in sustainability assessment, reaching a total of 9.6 points out of 10, the maximum possible, in the clean air index, 9.5 in the energy efficiency index, and 10 in terms of greenhouse gas emissions.
“While it is to be expected that a vehicle with relatively low mass and moderate battery capacity would perform well in the non-use life cycle phases, the FIAT 600e surprised with very low energy consumption in all tests. The measurement figures are remarkably better than those of many other vehicles in the same class”, said Green NCAP in a statement.
It is worth noting that the Fiat 600e is equipped with an electric motor that delivers 156 hp, powered by a 54 kWh battery, allowing for a range of up to 400 km, and in real-world tests, according to Green NCAP, it showed consumption in mixed cycle in warm weather of 15.5 kWh/100 km.
