After the electric aircraft, the Stellantis Design Studio has now announced a new collaboration with Windelo, the famous manufacturer of sustainable catamarans, and the naval architecture firm Barreau-Neuman, which resulted in the presentation of the innovative Windelo 62 and Windelo 58.
The two catamarans were revealed at the Cannes Yachting Festival, which runs until September 14 at Port Canto, and combine the high-performance principles of the automotive sector with the ecologically conscious philosophy of luxury cruising, giving rise to a new generation of catamarans that promise to redefine the onboard experience.
The design of the new Windelo 62 and 58 features a bold yet dynamic hull silhouette that emphasizes the performance-oriented profile of the vessel while elegantly integrating livable spaces for daily use.
One of the highlights of this collaboration is the 360 Horizon Cabin concept, a revolutionary recreation that amplifies the pleasure of sailing and living on board. The concept features a “floating ceiling” with a hidden glass structure and an open cockpit/bridge layout, providing a stunning and continuous view of the horizon at 360 degrees. This sense of openness and connection with the environment extends to the lower cabins, offering greater visibility and a continuous feeling of space.
On the bridge, a floating instrument panel spans the entire width, elegantly disguising the window frame, creating a visual shield against the waves. This ergonomic panel is tilted towards the user, ensuring that all instruments are easily and comfortably within reach.
“The Windelo 62 and the Windelo 58 represent the perfect synergy between our experience in pushing the limits of design and Windelo’s commitment to performance and sustainability.”, said Hugo Nightingale, Creative Director of the Stellantis Design Studio.
